816 Day 2021: “PLUG-GED IN” Peace, Love, Unity, Greatness

The HISTORIC 18th & Vine Jazz District in Kansas City, Missouri is home to some of the greatest legends of jazz and baseball such as Charlie Parker, Count Basie, Lester Young, George and Julie Lee, Satchel Paige, James “Cool Papa” Bell, and Josh Gibson.

Who’s ready for Kansas City’s Biggest Celebration of itself, 816 Day?!?!?With the actual day of 8/16 fallin on a Monday this year, it would only be right to offer a full weekend of activities. In a perfect world it would look something like this:8/13 Fly Friday “Dressed to the Nines” on Vine- Bringing back that 1920s-1960s Vibes when 18th & Vine put our city on the Map.8/15 “The Block Party” – Filling the streets with nothing but KC Love!!! Starting with Yoga on The Vine then Church on the vine, and then…. The festivities begin!!!Family Fun Field Day – Outdoor activities for the whole family. Youth Vendors, etc… Food Trucks, Live Performances, Greek

Stroll off with KCGP, Fashion Show, Rap Cypher, Special Guests 🤐, and of course “2 SteppinintheStreets”… This year’s KC Highlight will be Poetry with some of the dopest poets in the town.8/16- Maybe, just maybe, a KC Concert 😏Stay tuned KC.
